the silver beast

it'll be two years this year since i picked up this 750. it was a a rolling chassis with the engine barely bolted in. the rest of the bike in unmarked bags, all boxed up. once i returned home, i enlisted my good friend cliff to help make some sense of the bags of chaos. we didn't make it too far and the beast was left to hibernate.

fast forward to march this year. i found myself with a spare day and decided to see how far i could get before the sun went down. needless to say, i was pleasantly surprised by my progress....

after the one day partial build, i tucked the silver beast back into its corner until today, finally finding the time to tackle a few other challenges on the bike. a big thanks to christoph and cliff for diving right in, and thanks to lex for keeping us fueled on coffee and good food. the electrical gremlins are almost all sorted out and the list is getting shorter. i need a bigger bike for summer trips and i'm thinking this one will do just nicely
